it can be hard to know when a ‘WIP’ is finished, especially one so searching, but i am glad you heeded the voices and have put it out as it is. it really captures something, a lot in fact, about what you say its looking for. sometimes prayers answer themselves

RUth I have only just seen this now as I looked at the entries in the ‘For the Love of Jesus’ challenge…and I have to say I absolutely love it!

As soon as I spotted in the thumbnail version I ‘knew’ it. Then I read your descritiption taken from your blog and was simply blown away!!!For I look at it and thought prayer!!!!!!!!:O

how awesome and spirit filled is that???

All I could see was a mingling of prayers lifting to God…and that was long before I spotted the people you have so skilfully placed beneath them…I just don’t know what to say or how to put into words what my heart sees and my soul feels when I look upon this work….this Creation. ANd yes, with a capital C…for I see there is more of God and Spirit in this than you, if you know what I mean.

This was and remains a prayer prayed. In essence it was God’s gift to you at a desert time.

And now it is His and through you, your gift to us!!

I come back and look at this every now and then. Sharing it with other family members.
I think that a portion of many of these pictures should be laminated into bookmarks and be sold by the dozen. So many people wood love to have them to hand out fo family and friends. I’m sure it’s too late for an idea to be presented to RB for this Christmas but I’m sure they would sell.
Those being available wouldn’t prevent someone from buying a picture. But would increase their ability to have something in their hand that they loved … and could share with others. Particularly Christian themes would benefit I believe.

The colors are so vivid and the different techniques combined into one piece really overlap well. The symbolism of the random patterns of the drips as prayers is what makes this painting truly special. Amazing. Was this painted in the spring?
