my father , one year , painted a bare tree silver , I was a teenager , it was interesting , normally we were a real fur tree family , then there was the year my baby sister wanted a real tree , enquiring further with her , as to what a real tree was , turned out , a real tree are the ones that have the green plastic X stand at the bottom , the last I saw of the silver painted branch , was being lifted through the man hatch in the ceiling . A very brilliantly moving piece , shifting an avalange of memories , my mum was always studded by the time the turkey got itself to the oven .
