Dear little doll series... VALERIE

Oh my I could ask for more to hear (read). You don’t know how much this means to me. Making more than two with the same position, from the same face it’s getting harder and harder every time to be unique and get another idea and tones… I really still feel weird looking Valerie, I can’t still “see” if it’s actually good enough to be with the others xxx Pretty nervous again for the result again :)

Oh don’t remind me the hair!!! The time that I spent to make the hair (and make the perfect purple) I did to make all the others together! Agree with the lips – they’re too soft and transprent. I wanted to make her more eerie – not so “dark” or “gothic”. Give the feeling of a undead if you get my point – but in dolls mergins. I started them and tried to keep them (hard) gorgeous smudged red/brown but she losing her eerie feel and was looking too beautiful for a “undead feel” I wanted.

Wo, I didn’t expect to have this feedback – she’s the “Kayako” style one. Not that she looks like or that I got inspired from her, but with all these Japanese and familiar horror movies we saw these days I wanted to make her SO much eerie that she would be amlost frightening. Mwwwwwwwwwwwah!

It was a huge suprise to me (to paint digitally) and it did worked really well. In each of them I had a perfect vision of style of how they’re gonna be so I’m very pleased.

Ooh that’s so sweet – really I wish the were real too. I feel so sad I don’t have them “in my hands”, I mean like the traditional paintings. You can hold the canvas in your hands, hanging in your wall… this looks strange. I’ll buy them and frame them all :))
