Wild Flowers Description:

Uvularia grandiflora (Liliaceae) — The Uvalaria Grandiflora, are spring blooming flowers, also known as the commoner bellwort, “Wort” meaning “plant” in old english. The deep green leaves, fine white and hairy underneathe, compliment the large corn yellow drooping flower, inclining to greenish, at the summit. The large bell like flower is 1.5-2" long and smooth inside. The stem is generally smooth with no leaves below the fork.
