The Third part in my Silvertown series.

People can’t help but leave messages for each other, even if the messsage is insignificant and it’s exact meaning is obscured from the recipient , we all take small actions to make our mark and leave small messages in our surroundings.

So even when the meaning is unclear we can all recogonize that there is a message being sent.

For more Silvertown see Faded, Silvertown senescence, , Sunset in Silvertown , and even Rasputan.

i’ll have to dig up the shots, but one time I was wandering around in a trainyard in halifax and I spotted something on the ground as I passed. stopped. took two steps back and, on the end of one of the many railroad ties on the track was written, in railroad spikes, the word ‘HI’. Made me laugh out loud. I spent about half an hour to gather the necessary spikes to reply ‘HEY’.

  • That’s wicked, I’d love to see the pics if yu ever find them.
I really enjoy that kind of thing.
