Grows to about 60cm tall, in grassland and is very common. Flowering in the rainy season, December – April. The flower has two upper yellow petals and a very small lower petal. The stamens are protruding and the stigmas are of different shapes and colours. Zomba Plateau Malawi East Africa January 2009.
