Can anyone tell me what this dream meant?

Ok last night I had a scary dream (cool! I know!) that has a recurring theme. It went like this:

I am in the house that I was raised in as a kid. It’s night time and I think that I’ve left the door downstairs open. This was always a BIG no no in my family. Ok so I go downstairs to lock it and while I’m in the garage I realize that someone is inside and hiding. That bit freaks me out even as I type this. So usually a dark shadowed figure (A bit like Mike Meyers out of “Halloween” I guess) comes after me and chases me everywhere in the house. I usually feel completely powerless during the chase bit. It’s one of those dreams where you wake up with your heart pounding through your jimmy jams. I think I’ve even managed to wake up shouting a few times with this dream.
Anyway last night the dream changed a little. This time instead of a dark figure it was a TIGER trying to kill me. I have no idea where it came from but…..... WEIRD!!
Come to think about it I just watched Halloween the other day for the first time. It might be related but I have had this recurring dream my whole life and I’ve only just recently seen “Halloween”(on widescreen). I hope one day the dream becomes lucid and I get to fight back.

So what do you think? Any suggestions on what my subconscious is trying to tell me?

p.s. get hold of Halloween widescreen – it’s AWESOME.

I used to have two reoccurring dreams… they stopped. I’ve had them since I can remember (2-3?). One of them is that I’m trapped in this giant bird cage, and my family (mum, dad and sister) is like looking down at me scarily. And the other one is that I’m alone in this alien junk yard type of place, and there were clowns… i think my family turned into clowns… i don’t remember. But I had that one when I was 16 after many many years of not having one. I’ve also had one where it continued off from another dream many years ago too… and it was still scary….

Maybe you have been on redbubble too much…lol. I know there are some really cool tiger, lion and cat drawings on here. Seriously though, I have had similar dreams but they weren’t in a basement, they were in an attic that I accessessed mysteriously throughy my grandmother’s house. I would try to find a way out, but the attic went on and on. Sometimes the dream would change and there would be these pillars and I would have to jump from one to the next to keep from falling. The really bad ones were when the lights went out and I was stuck on a pillar. I haven’t had those dreams in a really long time. Usually when things get to pressured, our dreams are telling us to watch out and make a change in our life.

Wow this dream sounds pretty scary, I have dreams like that sometimes, when I get an unusual one I write it down, sometimes and most often my dreams involve my school friends and the people I have been around or been thinking about for about a week or so, Out of sight, Out of mind, maybe. I truly do think that they mean something though. Especially reaccuring ones. Will be interesting to see what Kathleen comes up with too, let us all know what she says about your dream. Melissa. x

That was ages ago I think she forgot. I also have had dreams when I’m at work doing my normal daily duties – true horror! Nothing is more nightmarish than working all day, going home and then going to bed to dream about working again. I think I’ll just work 24 hours a day and make my dreams come true.
