About this piece: This autoanimated ancient relic is consoling his depressed pet. Tapeworms are very social creatures, and they often become depressed as pets unless they are allowed ample time to socialize with their own kind. The depression problem is exacerbated when they have not had adequate amounts of exercise daily (1 hour of walking, 30 minutes of vigorous “playing fetch”, 2 hours of hide and seek, etc). This owner needs to take better care of his beautiful pet. Tapeworms of this size (350 pounds) are extremely rare.

Thank God tapeworms of that size are extremely rare! Wonderful work, great detail in the worm, and I always love your use of color, shape, shading, and fascinating concepts.

  • Thank you Cindy!

Cindy has said it all!!…Apparently 1 in 10 people have a tape worm….yikes! BTW I love this!

  • 1 in 10 people have a tapeworm as a pet? Surely that places them right behind dogs and cats in the most popular pet category. I hear they are very loyal.
