About this piece: These freshly-autoanimated Moai are celebrating their pioneering achievement. They have finally autoanimated themselves after painstakingly chiseling their heads down from 15 tons to a more manageable 200-300 pounds. Up until this point in history, many scientists believed stone statues were incapable of learning, problem solving, manufacturing, and dancing. Don’t let their somber expressions fool you; these Moai are probably quite happy. Of course, they are kind of locked into their original carved-in-stone expressions, unless they want to break out the hammer and chisel every time their mood changes. This would cause gradual cephalic shrinkage, which is undesirable and inevitably fatal at some point. They have learned well from their traveling relic teacher. However, it appears they have more to learn about sewing. Perhaps they should stop dancing long enough to repair themselves before more seams burst.
