Graffiti Heraldry
Celebrating the history and urban street movement of the UK.

My entry for the London Calling challenge, finally placed 5th. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported it. ;)

I’m a t-shirt designing robot. I specialise in pop culture/movie parody, paying particular attention to movies from the 1980s, my era when everything seemed much bigger and brighter – but maybe I was just smaller and wider eyed!

i love the little progression slide. i always thought you were a vector artist. damn fine linework my friend! lol great design as well x3.

  • Thanks very much bah. I’m much happier with a pen in my hand rather than a mouse, but I like to mix the two.

Your work is not only creative, rubyred – it always (well, almost always) holds a strong message of some kind that is embedded in every component of each piece.
    Furthermore, you hand-design them!
You’re a very talented designer – keep up the amazing work, mate!

  • Such a nice comment ElRobbo and much appreciated. Glad you like my stuff!

so do you red-draw your lines in the puter or just colour digitaly?

what sort of paper do you use?

  • Hey Dave, I draw up the design with ink on cartridge paper, scan it in then colour up in Photoshop. I create some texture with a toothbrush and ink and scan that too. This design has 18 different layers in PS. I don’t redraw the lines, as I like the look of real lines. Make much sense?

thanks for sharing your process, this is again a really great design. what program do you use to colour your design?

  • Thanks Miriam. I use Photoshop to put the design together, using a bit of handmade texture scanned in.
