I love the juxtaposition. You can’t really see the flowers as lovely, nor can you see the rotted corpse as grotesque. It’s a cool tension. Enviable skill.
Thanks for the comments you guys. There is meant to be a sort of beauty to the image and using the poppy adds the memorial feel.
