taken from a very special place…
had spent so many summer days swimming here on this beach during my younger years and later on was content just to come in the late afternoons to catch the sunset…
those were the days…
glad I was able to visit recently and was lucky enough to witness this beautiful sunset when I was there…

incredible! like the effect of the sun shining through. Did you use a filter to get a longer exposure?

thank you, David. You’re asking tough questions for a beginner like me, ☺☺. I’m self taught so every now and then I have to ask myself…where did I go wrong or what was it that I did right? Most of the time, I totally surprise myself. Anyway, I used cpf with this one, it might have helped.
this is the metadata for this file:
lens: 17-40mm f/4L USM
shutter speed: 0.8 sec
Exposure program: shutter priority
f stop: f/22
ISO: 100
focal length: 40mm
having the aperture in 22 might have help this image not overexposed.

BTW, an ND grad filter would have been a welcome addition for longer exposure…
don’t have the budget for it yet :(
