To KILL CUPID (poem)

TO KILL CUPID

A passion lies deep with in
A soft mummer of my hearts desire,
I see you walking along your path.
I prey for only a moment of your time.
Thrust your arrow, away from me Cupid.
Turn and look my way I pray.
See my wanting eyes.
Fill my heart no more with… hope oh Cupid
I feel beneath your charm and beauty.
You walk on by …with out a glance.
I no that you would never be or wish for my desire.
The best that I could ever do is to turn away.
For cupids arrow should strike me no more.
Doused by age and time, my beauty has long faded
And what lies on my outside ..no one should ever want.
Cupid turn your arrow away,
for no one should ever want such a man as I.
Turn your arrow away oh Cupid
For either I or you should die.
