Italian Sketchbook is on Winsor & Newton 90lb/190gsm mould-made watercolour paper, using Cotman Watercolours and Berol water-soluble pens. My Italian Journal is still in a draft stage but will feature in my journal eventually

    What I like is the life that is captures from reality – sometimes we cannot recreate that when we spend time on it – the snatched sketch is so real

  • Absolutely, Carole, when you add-up all the feelings felt when grabbing that moment, the heat , time of day, mosquitoes, smells, noise etc., there is a great sense of time and place that can’t easily be recreated in the studio.
