Feeding Time
While shooting shorebirds at Sandy Hook, I noticed a juvenile common tern screaming loudly on the end of a jetty with mom and dad nowhere in sight. I climbed out onto the rocks and figured if I waited long enough a parent might come and feed it. Twenty minutes later I saw an adult tern fishing just off the jetty. After awhile it caught a small fish, and quickly flew to the rocks and fed the juvenile.
