Photographed at the wonderful Lavendula lavender farm, Daylesford, Victoria. Italian-speaking Swiss immigrants built this golden stone building, which housed 13 children, and ran the dairy farm from the 1860s. There’s also lovely gardens, lavender fields, farmyard, the olive & chestnut groves, the vineyard – and in the distance the ancient volcano that delivered the good soil. This photograph was featured in the Red Bubble groups Nostalgic Art and Photography, ’ The Addicted Photographer’, ‘“COUNTRY VICTORIA (AUST.)’, ‘Australian Women Photographers…’, …and ‘Rustic’, and was voted winner in the Avatar/Old Timers -Melbourne & Victoria challenge, and into the top ten of the Prima Challenge #9 of 2016 .
