Paihia - Haere Mai....................! by

’ Haere Mai ’ is Maori for ’ Welcome.’ This photograph was taken outside the Maritime Building on the waterfront at Paihia in the Bay of Islands.
Paihia always features near the top of tourist destinations in New Zealand and the world. We now have cruise ships visiting almost daily during the summer months – it is perfectly placed as a base for tourists to explore the Far North of NZ.

Panasonic, LUMIX – GH2 at 25mm, 14×140 lens, 1/100, f/8, iso 200, manual, From a single RAW image.

Great-looking sculpture and capture Roy :)

  • Thank you kindly Susie – I had difficulty trying to get a shot without showing a stupid dark plastic power box that the Power Co. had stuck right in the middle – how stupid can they be ……,?
