A large game (group) of Swans on the river Witham at Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. Taken by my wife Heather from the canal narrowboat ‘Skye’ on our way to Boston. To get there we had to pass close to New York – all places named long before their American counterparts.
The River Witham is a delightful place to see all kinds of wildlife. I saw deer in the fields, a badger and a fox along with many birds.
The stone bridge in the background is the Glory Hole, one of the oldest bridges in the UK.
