Brilliant work Roy, I think our birds are clandestine. We put out the food, the food gets eaten but we rarely see the birds.

  • Many thanks Colin – for your great comment and favourite. Know what you mean – we move the sugar water bowl around, they sit on the railing looking around then spot it and they’re in, feet and all ! Could be squirrels or mice after your food !

Isn’t this a treat? As my mother was fond of saying (with her tongue firmly planted in her beak), “Position is everything in life….”

  • So pleased you like it Sheila – thank you for your kind comments. Love your Mother’s expression !

    Too cute!!!!

  • Thank you very much Margaret – I do appreciate your kind comment. At the moment we have all the little fledglings – the parent birds seem to be busy elsewhere !

    Amazing. Great shot.

  • Many thanks Kay both for your lovely comment and favourite. The larger native Tui seems to be willing to share with these little birds, most unusual !
