Azalea - small species of Rhododendron. by

The signature shrub of springtime in many parts of Australia and New Zealand although ours is still flowering during the first week of winter in the Far North of NZ. The Azalea comes in an array of sizes, flower colours and growth habits. There are two broad groups – evergreen which are grown widely while deciduous Azaleas are limited to colder gardens.

    A lovely flower that you’ve photographed quite beautifully Roy. Funny you mention it as being a spring flower because we, too, have one in flower right now – only ours is pure white (and not easy to photograph as a result) Super shot mate.
