Tapotupotu bay just before the rain set in for the Easter weekend. These two people caught my eye.
This lovely bay is approx 3km from Cape Reinga, about the most northerly point of the North Island, New Zealand.
Twenty five years ago we used to haul our caravan with a 4 × 4, 441 kms from Auckland. The last hour and a half of this was on gravel roads which thankfully now have been sealed. But of course, there are many more visitors now. We would spend four weeks a year over the Christmas break until our children decided they no longer wanted to holiday with Mum and Dad !
A photograph taken 25 yrs ago at this spot of our
German Shepherd can be seen enjoying the holiday also.
