Surely somebody doesn’t actually get paid to stick these silly notices up !
Taken during the North Island of New Zealand’s close brush with cyclone Wilma on Friday 28th January 2011 at Paihia, Bay of Islands.

We had over 150mm of rain in less than 24 hours
and fortunately for us, with less wind than predicted but in the lower part of the North Island, the winds were far stronger.

I love the sign, Roy! As if!!!!!

  • Cheers David, that sign had quite a few people taking photos, it was so rediculous in that situation – it had only just been put up too !

I heard about the cyclone on the news here. I hope no one was badly hurt. This would be great in our challenge in A Place To Call Home. It is about the power of water and opens in a few days. Wonderful picture!

  • Thanks Lori, will put it in. Luckily only one drowning.
