The start of summer in New Zealand’s far north.
Hopefully this will be the last storm before the holiday season begins.
Photograph was taken in Paihia, Bay of Islands. The old stone church of St. Paul’s is just across the road from this spot. It can be seen here
The season has already begun with a roaring start – the day this photograph was taken there were two cruise ships anchored in the bay, two of the thirty six predicted for the season which goes from November to the end of March.
Tonemapped in Photomatix.
