The stories she could tell ! Northern Union Canal, UK by

From the look of the wooden hull this canal boat
would have been a working boat from the late 1800’s early 1900’s.

An excellent shot! As you say…. Kind of the Sad But True syndrome.

  • The old boats like this at least make a photograph – it’s the new
derelict clunkers lying around that spoil the picture.

    A boat barely alive
    Great capture

  • Mike, we came round the corner and there it was – such a sorry sight ! So click goes the camera. Roy

Gosh it does seem like it has seen better days but makes for an excellent photo, really well done.

Looks to be still afloat though.

One could say that the newness has worn off. Suberb study.

  • Thanks Tyke – yes definitely ! Could do with a little bit of a lift in

What a shame she has been allowed to get in this state but it makes a great picture.

  • Luckily quite a few of the old British Waterways narrow boats have been sold off and restored by enthusiasts. Thank you for your comment.

What a pity indeed that this boat came to this state. Hopefully it will be restored one day. Great shot! My fave!

  • Thank you Juergen – I think she has gone too far for restoration. Appreciate the comments.
