This was taken on a rather misty day in October.
Had to climb over a barrier saying ’Track closed due to slips ’ naughty me !! But I had been waiting for months for a misty day.

    what a great shot

  • Rosina, this is one of the places I revisit every time we have over-
seas visitors staying with us. It’s another place that changes all the
    time. Thanks.

WOW !! amazing shot, its beautiful,

  • Ann, if you don’t already know, this is the river that runs down thru

the town of Kerikeri and passes the two oldest buildings in NZ – the
Mission House and the Stone Store.

What a scene, Roy! Beautiful! I’ve seen pictures of the amazing and varied geologic abnomalies in NZ, and just learned last night that it’s sitting atop a megavolcano. Maybe you should visit the U.K. more frequently!

  • Not just one Pat, we have many and most of them rumble from time

to time but we also have quite a few extinct as well. We are actually
called the ’ quakey Isles ’ by our cuzzies across the ditch in Australia.

Such a GREAT composition, from the framing to the mist. Well worth the treacherous climb. Favor…Jules

  • This is a place I always take overseas visitors to – you can get to thetop of the falls or the bottom on most days.
