The peaceful little village of Russell in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand can be quite busy during the summer season with tourists and holidaymakers.
Once called the ’ Hell Hole of the Pacific ’ due to it being the first port of call for many Whalers and Trading vessels in the late 1700’s early 1800’s. It was once the capital of New Zealand.
