After the two day storm which had up to 168k per hour winds and torrential rain and which also caused floods and slips, this little Silver Eye was busily restoring himself to order. He shook then preened himself for quite some time !

Location: My garden, Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

    Oh my word, this could be a bad hair day! I’m just so relieved they made it through that horrific storm! Absolutely beautiful capture Roy!

  • Now that would have made a great title Maree ! It always amazes us how they survive such fierce conditions when a storm brews. Your wonderful comment and favourite is appreciated. When i went out on the deck during the storm there were six Sparrows sheltering under the porch roof but i didn’t see any of the other birds.
