We passed this old tug on the River Weaver south of Manchester in the UK.
It looks like it was built somewhere in the late 1940’s to 50’s in the style I remember so well when I was at sea. Hopefully somebody was thinking of turning it into a houseboat or similar.
The River Weaver is joined to the Trent & Mersey Canal by the Anderton Boat Lift which is now restored to working condition. It is a waterways wonder and can take two canal boats at a time, either up or down.
