Super picture Roy – you’d need a VERY wide angled lens for shots like this!

  • Thank you kindly Peter – I used my 14 × 140 lens at 91mm for this one with a polarizing filter.

I think I told you we saw the Dawn Princess when we were up in Darwin recently.

  • Yes, our friends were here on it this time last year – she’s a regular visitor as she’s based in Australia.

Well done, Roy. That’s one beautiful, top-heavy ship! lol

  • I agree David – they don’t look like real ships anymore ! Floating apartment buildings more like and I get a nose bleed after climbing higher than three decks…….lol ! This one is actually quite mild in height compared to say ’ The World.’ Thanks for your kind comments.

  • Many thanks Lynn – ’ And you get a hot and cold running steward for every cabin…..ha ha !’

Great capture Roy … the ship looks a bit too big for me but love that beautiful blue water!

  • Thank you kindly Susie – Lynn reckons she wants a floating city. . The only cruise we ever went on was the Greek Islands and she carried 700 passengers- much nicer and friendlier. When I was at sea I steered well clear of crewing on passenger ships – too much ra ra, crew keep their shirts on, wear silly white hats and knuckle their foreheads to all and sundry……lol !
