A series where I try to approace the fear of insanity. I believe that this fear is collective and that we all have to face it sometime, one way or another.

Yesterday i went to the hospital and got an MR scan (Magnetic Resonance x-ray) to figure out where my headaches comes from.
So this is how i look with a brain
(that sometimes hurt) :o

    WOW, VERY INTENSE. I HAD SINUS HEADACHES EVERY DAY FOR 11 YEARS. AFTER 6 INDOSCOPIC SURGERIES THROUGH MY NOSE, THE DOCTOR’S FINALLY DECIDED THAT THEY HAD TO DO A TOTAL FRONTAL SINUS OBLITERATION. SO, THEY CUT ME FROM EAR TO EAR, FOLDED DOWN THE SKIN TO MY EYEBROWS, CUT A 2X3 INCH RECTANGLE IN MY SKULL AND TOOK A DREMEL TOOL TO TOTALLY CLEAN OUT THE SINUS MEMBRAINE. THEN THEY TOOK FAT FROM MY STOMACH AND PUT IT INTO THE VOID, THEN PUT MY SKULL BACK TOGETHER WITH TWO LITTLE PLATES AND FOUR VERY SMALL SCREWS IN EACH PLATE. THREE MONTHS AFTER THE SURGERY, NO MORE HEADACHES. THANK GOD. SO, I CAN RELATE TO THE HEADACHES. IT TOOK 8 TOTAL OPPERATIONS TO DO IT, ONE AND THE LAST ONE, WAS TO REMOVE A MUCOSELE ON THE BASE OF MY BRAIN STEM. THE TOTAL FRONTAL SINUS OBLITERATION LASTED 7 HOURS ON THE OPPERATING TABLE. THIS LATEST EMERGENCY COLONOSCOPY WAS MY 36TH SURGERY AND I HAVE TWO MORE TO GO TO GET ME BACK TOGETHER AGAIN. EVENTUALLY, I WILL HAVE TO HAVE BOTH KNEES REDONE ONE MORE TIME. SO, BY THE TIME I GET DONE I WILL HAVE 40 SURGERIES UNDER, AND OVER, MY BELT. I’M THE ONLY HALF INDIAN I KNOW THAT HAS BEEN SCALPED AND I’M STILL ALIVE TO TALK ABOUT IT. I HOPE THEY FIND A CURE FOR YOUR HEADACHES, THEY ARE SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS. BOB ;)

    i love fishing Bob. I think i spend maybe 100 days a year fishing. Fishing freah water for trout and char, surfcasting the sea or fishin from a small boat i borrow…or what i love the most…fishing in the sea from my Boreal Design Inukshuk Ocean kayak. I´m lucky to live in central Norway with great fishing opportunities. Maybe the worlds greatest Atlantic Salmon fishing is right outside my doorstep.

    BEFORE THE PRICE OF GAS WENT UP AND MY INCOME WENT DOWN, I USED TO GO FISHING EVERY DAY, RAIN OR SHINE. IN 2003, I SPENT OVER 300 DAYS FISHING. I MANAGED TO CATCH OVER 1100 SMALL STRIPERS BETWEEN JUNE AND OCTOBER OF 2003. I COULDN’T KEEP ANY OF THEM, TOO SMALL, BUT I HAD A BLAST CATCHING AND RELEASING THEM. NOW, I’M LUCKY TO GET EVERY SUNDAY FISHING. SINCE THE EMERGENCY COLOSTOMY, I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO FISH FOR ONE MINUTE, LET ALONE ONE DAY. SO, ONCE MY FISHING SCHEDULE GETS BACK ON TRACK, I WILL FISH 52 DAYS IN A YEAR. CATCHING ISN’T AS GOOD IN CALIFORNIA AS IT IS IN NORWAY, TOO MANY PEOPLE. INCLUDING FOREIGNERS THAT KEEP EVERY THING THEY CATCH, LEGAL OR NOT. TIGHT LINES TO YOU TOO. ALSO, KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY. BOB :)
