Need critique on this. Opinions. Hit me !

From a series I shot today. A bit fresh. I normally waits a while before posting, but felt like any way. Premature i know.

This is a composite

Enlighten in a flash

From a series where I work to express the deepest emotions, both positive and “negative”.

Inspired by linaji .
Lina inspired me to post this work today. Thank you Lina just for being the lovely person you are.

And inspired by Tom Waits – London 04 – Sins of my Father
You need to see hear and read this sing !! :)

Lyrics

God said don’t give me your
Tin horn prayers
Don’t buy roses off the street down there
Took it all and took the dirt road home
Dreaming of Jenny with the light brown hair
Night is falling like a bloody axe
Lies and rumors and the wind at my back
Hand on the wheel gravel on the road
Will the pawn shop sell me back what I sold

I’m gonna take the sins of my father
I’m gonna take the sins of my mother
I”m gonna take the sins of my brother
Down to the pond

Birds cry warning from a hidden branch
Carving out a future with a gun and an axe
I’m way beyond the gavel and the laws of man
Still living in the palm of the grace of your hand
The worlds not easy the blind man said
Turns on nothing but money and dread
Dogs been scratching at the door all nite
Long neck birds flying out of the moon light

I’m gonna take the sins of my father
I’m gonna take the sins of my mother
I”m gonna take the sins of my brother
Down to the pond

Smack dab in the middle of a dirty lie
The star spangled glitter of his one good eye
Everybody knows that the game was rigged
Justice wears suspenders and a powdered wig
Dark town alleys been hiding you
Long bell tolling is your waterloo
Oh baby what can you do
Does the light of god blind you
Or lead the way home for you?

I’m gonna take the sins of my father
I’m gonna take the sins of my mother
I”m gonna take the sins of my brother
Down to the pond

God all mighty for righteousness sake
Humiliation of our fallen state
Written in the book of tubold Cain
A long black over coat will show no stain
Feel the heat and the burn on your back
The rip and the moan and the stretch of the rack
All my belongings in a flour sack
Will the place I come from
Take me back

I’m gonna take the sins of my father
I’m gonna take the sins of my mother
I”m gonna take the sins of my brother
Down to the pond

They’ll hang me in the morning on a scaffold yea big
To dance upon nothing to the tyborn jig
Treats you like a puppet when your under its spell
Oh the heart is heaven
But the mind is hell
Jesus of Nazareth told Mike of the weeds
I’s born at this time for a reason you see
When I’m dead I”ll be dead a long time
But the wines so pleasing and so sublime

I’m gonna take the sins of my father
I’m gonna take the sins of my mother
I”m gonna take the sins of my brother
Down to the pond

Kissed my sweetheart by the chinaball tree
Everything I done is between God and me
Only he will judge how my time was spent
29 days of sinning and 40 to repent
The horse is steady but the horse is blind
Wicked are the branches on the tree of mankind
The roots grow upwared and the branches grow down
Its much too late to throw the dice again I’ve found

I’m gonna take the sins of my father
I’m gonna take the sins of my mother
I”m gonna take the sins of my brother
Down to the pond

I’m gonna wash them [2x]
I’m gonna wash the sins of my Father
I’m gonna wash the sins of my Mother
I’m gonna wash the sins of my Brother
Till the water runs clear [2x]

I love Tom Waits, don´t you? :)

This is my way to healing and selfrealization. If my work can give something to an other human being it´s many times worth the effort. Thanks for stopping by and look into my weird world for a minute.

OHHH ROY.. I love my icon by those cat eyes..and by this incredible work.. I am really taking time to see the innocence of your life.. how much you belong to the finding part now.. Such a lovely image.. I think..and not because I am here sitting by your precious self.. It is how I feel sometimes when I just don’t know what to do.. I see this key in your hand and it is funny but you found it in your hand as you are the key in and of itself
    to all your answers..

    HERE

    Here.
just thought I would lay down and see
how if I take this lock and key
    to the test of wonder
    and open the door
To a place I thought I had been before.
    .
    No,
There is no going back for a man like me,
But I do wonder what would have been
    to see
    If I did not struggle
    If I did not fight
What would my life had been like tonight?
    .
    Would I feel this passion,
    Would I feel yours too?
Would I be this loving and kind and true?
    Would I be so needy..
    Ahh well no perhaps not,
but I can handle needy but not the uncompassionate lot.
    .
I am the key to my happiness
I am the lockdown to fears
and now after growing and flowing through the years

Come see my lock and now see my key
Opening the way for allowing to be,
As I smile and I rest and take you as a guest,
I feel happiness I feel joyous
    I feel me.

This is a very interesting image Roy – a ‘different’ feel to much you have shared with us before… What is the key for? A key ‘unlocks things’... The image of itself conveys to me a sense of contentment that the key is there – held – safe, but ‘open’... it’s position in the hand laid close to the face in the aura of strongest light feels to me that the key is showing the way to something… something forward? A way forward? But… why is it ‘needed’? The form holding and ‘having’ the key appears contented…
But Roy – this form to me appears much more clear and defined in it’s skin than those in most of your work… maybe that’s good – maybe that’s safe, and what is providing the sense of contentment…?
But then – again – why need the key? maybe – to me anyway – being so much more ‘in the body’ can also be confining in a way? And the key may be needed to unlock a way out?
Or – simply – is it that the key to being ‘more safe and content in this body’ has now been found and is held glowing in the light in contentment?
Whichever way it may be – you sure make me think again Roy – and it takes powerful work to do that! K xx

    Hello my dear friend
wonderful to wake up and turn on my “bubble” and read your contemplative and introspective thoughts. This way i also gets the angles and energy to look at my work (myself) in an other and maybe new way. Thanks a lot Kallena for giving me that gift.

    Roy,
this image says “pure” to me …. and that in a beautiful way in a best meaning of this word … (pure forms, pure colours … pure content … )
... but apart from that I think that what Linaji wrote to you is so wonderful …. it expresses so much of that what I feel too but could have never possibly express ….. thank you Linaji … (and I hope Linaji and you do not mind me saying that ….)
    :)
