Lest we forget.
With the Anniversary of D Day upon us, i’m reposting an image of a former soldier, paying tribute to those who paid the ultimate price for our ability to live our lives the way we do. Thank you. Llandudno Cenotaph, North Wales.

Lest we forget.
roybarry replied
Lisa, thank you.
Where would we be now, if it weren’t for the sacrifices and suffering of countless brave young men and women the world over? I listened to the story of a D Day veteran today-it had me in floods of tears, these people have lived their entire lives since with the dark shadow of their experiences looming over them. I just wish that nobody ever has to go through that again.

An emotive and important shot, well done. My family suffered personal loss at the D-day landings like many thousands of others. History, which should always be told ..never to be forgotten.
