And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The the tune will come to you at last
How all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll

The front man from one of the best rock bands of all time, Led Zeppelin

I originally intended to draw this white on black paper, and I still might, but I drew this just tonight as I had not much else to do while i waited for a download to complete on the computer!
It took an hour.

This is all done with diagonal lines only, no shading, no guidelines.
I used only a graphite 2B mechanical pencil on Reeves canvas paper, A4

Completed 4th April, 2009

Great work Simon. It ROCKS as much as Zepplin! The diagonal lines add a motion blur effect to it & The textured paper also adds a nice effect.

  • Thanks Matt
I appreciate the attention you have taken to recognise the style I was trying to acheive…Thanks for getting it!
