I’m an artist living and working in Ireland’ painting modern figurative art influenced by the female form. Formal training began in fashion and textiles and after several years working in the fashion industry I progressed into my current and only occupation of painting.
I use the lauguage of the body to express emotions about almost anything; from texture ; shape and colour to real human expression . I see my art as a form of escapism; it’s free of tragerdy and pain; I think of it as painting my own paradise ; a form of escapism; as I think all art is.
I draw from a wealth of influences from Klimt to Hockney; other inspirations includes anything from Spain to Bantry; Co Cork.
