London 1940
This is my entry for the London Calling competition which everyone should get into.
The main image is an early warning system used in London. A man in a gasmask with an alarm hooked up to loudspeaker attached to his bike would ride through the streets sounding the alarm. He also had a microphone inside the mask.
The background images are selected archive photos from the blitz. The tube map over the top is from 1938.
