Hi There, At 1721 yesterday our Fire Engine collided with a ute that went through a stop sign. The driver was released by our injured crew but he unfortunately was pronounced deceased on scene. This has shaken up the crew despite their efforts, and our truck was written off.
Sad day up here In Wyong my friend.
Stay Safe.

Oh Rossco! That is sad for you guys!
I feel for you all and wish I could give you all a huge hug!
When I was living & working in our Dandenong Ranges our CFA guys were thoroughly shook up when car drove under the front of their truck as they were out. The person Driving was learning. As only the boot of the falcon was not under the truck the occupant of the car was pronounced dead on impact & the truck we had all helped lobby for was all but written off! – it needed a crane to lift it to get the car out from under it! [not easy on a mountain road as you can imagine
Mick just told me of another idiot who pulled out in front of the Kaniva pumper in full emergency run … the idiot was towing a huge caravan too – the pumper locked up and skidded to a halt behind it as there was a semi coming towards them on the other side of the road & they had nowhere to go!
Why is it that our drivers are not educated to keep out of the way of emergency vehicle’s!!
Probably the same idiot who thinks it better that emergency vehicles drive safely at the speed limit in stead of getting everyone to get out of the way!
Mind you I know the public panic and do stupid things that could lead to accidents – again through lack of education! We must put Values back in their rightful priority!
Stay Safe Sir and I hope you are all bored for the next month [That way we’re all safe!]
