Bar Beach part of the beautiful Sapphire Coast
The Bega Valley Shire is located at the south-eastern extremity of New South Wales approximately half way between Sydney and Melbourne.
The Shire’s coastal fringe extends from Wallaga Lake (Bermagui) in the north to Cape Howe and the Victorian border in the south.
Collectively, this 106-kilometre section of coastline forms the beautiful Sapphire Coast. Inland, higher peaks of the Great Dividing Range give way to rolling hills, and numerous rivers and streams.

Don’t we have a beautiful country? Thank you for showing such a wonderful aspect of it.
Wonderful capture, beautiful colours in the foreground, great vista and perspective.
Incredible color and contrast. The rock colors floors me unless it is Pre-Cambrian – very old billion – no oxygen in air to rust rock! fascinating photo
Wow…the colours of the rocks in the foreground is stunning..such a beautiful panorama…beautiful shot.!!
wow – gorgeous colour rock…! Lovely scene!
Good composition
beautiful capture and view
I used to go fishing there as a kid. A good spot at low tide. I don’t think Dave is right with the pre-cambrian as none of the eastern side of Oz is pre-cambrian. Anyway, there used to be more oxygen in the air which is why the really old parts of Oz are so red – ferric iron instead of ferrous iron.
Whoops – less oxygen is correct. Ferric oxide has less oxygen than ferrous oxide. I’ll bet you wanted to know that!!!!!
great capture
