Saving the cerberus
Cerberus has rested in three metres of water at Half Moon Bay since being scuttled to form a breakwater in 1926. To the casual observer there appeared to be no deterioration until a major collapse took place in 1993. Since then Cerberus has continued to collapse at a rate of approximately 16 mm per year.

Very nice capture Rosina, I like the actions of waves and the dark clouds.

Lovely moody image. I have fond memories from my childhood of snorkeling out to the Cerberus to explore it inside and out and of scaling the up to the highest point to jump off it. I’d love to have a look on scuba but there’s a $5000 fine if you are caught within 25m of it now.
