heartbreaking … but the greening will being after the next rains
being = begin!
Wow Rosina, this image says so much. Well done.
It´s ghostlike!!! All wildlife obliterated….so scaring !!!
The image says it all Rosina
it is so stark, so “purged”…..so totally devoid of life….yet it will be so beautiful and healing to see what emerges after the rains…..
the greatest fear the local’s have if the rain is heavy it will create loss of top soil mixed with burnt ash downhill into flowerdale, possibly creating further disaster, it was the hardest thing l have ever photographed, so vast is the destruction of lives,property and wildlife the mountain is void of any sound,

well then, I pray the rains will be gentle. I know all about run off and loss after heavy deluges…(I live on a hill).I came home from my stay in North Croyden last week, totally haunted by what I had seen and “picked up” in the atmosphere….. I think no one can remain untouched…..to actually walk this land as you have done, and “feel” the energy of horror and death must be so difficult. Just viewing it from afar is bad enough…..
just so sad!
So sad.. my heart goes out to all of you..
