Cool composition, Rosina!! Light, color, horizon and fog are so balanced here, they all make a good composition. Alone tree had added music to the environment. Liked the effective use of space here.

Everything about this photograph lends support to the adage expressed by Ansel Adams (my hero) – you don’t take photographs, you make them. This is pure art, for all the reasons everyone else has expressed before me. Cool. :)

I love this! It reminds me of where I work. It’s a building in a farm field with a few sparse trees and it’s often foggy in a similar way. Well done. Great color and composition.

At first I thought it was very much about solitude, but then when I saw the larger version I noticed the other tree off in the distance in the fog. Gave a whole new aspect to the photo.

Somewhat suggestive of a telling contrast between suburban ‘lawns’ and dead trees. As a child I used to thing such stark trees were ‘natural’. Very sad to discover the wider truth.

parched lands .. up until this year for many in a row NE Wyoming has been in a deep drought .. mostly grassland with cottonwoods near the small streams of winter run off .. still holding on with deep roots …the ever present summer fire watch .. the oppressing shrivel you up until your lips crack dry summers .. oh yes we know the sadness of the trees .. and the insult of the clouds that bare no rain … my heart goes out to your land and the trees and the grass and the animals and the peoples who suffer the terrible dry ..
