I grew up in the country where I started painting as a child and making music as a teenager. Since then my main passions have always been art and music.
I began selling my paintings and prints in 1987 in NSW and Queensland, and whilst I spent many years working on my art, I was also very involved in the music industry as a Singer/Songwriter.
I held my first Solo Exhibition of my Outback Series in Broken Hill in September 2006 and have recently held 6 Exhibitions in Sydney. My work is also exhibited at Galante Restaurant in Leichhardt and Capercaillie Gallery and Winery in the Hunter Valley.
I have recently held a Solo Exhibition in conjunction with International Conservation Services at Westmead Hospital for the month of July 2009. We were very pleased with the outcome and hope to organize a similar exhibition at another venue in the near future.
In the last few years I have also sold a range of prints through many retail outlets in Sydney, including Harvey Norman and John Cootes, and have done many commissions.
I am passionate about painting the Outback and the human body, and believe it or not – at times I find a correlation. But lately I find myself focusing closer to home with impressions of Inner West Sydney and it’s characters – colourful, vibrant, multicultural.
So watch this space!
I work in acrylics and at this stage have a body of work of about 100 paintings.
I love what I do!
