Written as a response to David Haviland’s image The Big Dry ... as confronting as these images of drought can be, one has to live in it – breathe it, taste it, smell it – to appreciate what the farmers face in these conditions.

Thanks Warren. A lot of similar scenes from my childhood included a carcass or skeletal remains of animals (as I’m sure they do in your country also)... it is where reality hits.
