Some moisture in the air certainly brings out the greens – this is even desaturated a tiny bit. Some of the shrubs have been cut away allowing a different view of this iconic hut.

Taken last weekend while showing Michael Matthews a few of the local attractions.

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!

I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.

This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!

Well done, Rosalie – the old slab hut in Fagan Park is always a photogenic subject, no matter from which angle the picture is taken. This composition works particularly well, leading to what would have been a typical home built by the early settlers. :)george

  • Thanks for the fav George – they’ve taken out the large ferns and a tall shrub or two which really adds to the scene. Pleased you like it …

Beautiful spot Rosalie, I love the framing by the trees

  • Glad you like it Stuart, thank you – strange summer we are having here, we’d gone from around 40C temps to cool and wet on Sunday.

    Hi Rosalie
Great photo, fantastic colour and what a beaut old hut, are there many of these old huts around tis area?
The foreground sets the rest of the photo off.
    Cheers
    Rod.

  • This hut is part of some themed gardens Rod – but I have seen a few scattered around NSW – so photogenic! Thanks for the kind words

Tis what Australia and the USA have in common, (besides really neat people), old small dwellings from days gone by. The South/Eastern states have plenty to satisfy the camera’s eye, you would love it. The path here and the foot bridge really appeal to me. All that green is another favorite of mine. I like the way you framed this whole scene up, then again, that is why you’re such a good photographer. That is what you do to always present such nice works. est to you my friend.
