Taken in the Southern Highlands, NSW Australia on Easter Monday.

MALE VOICE, STAGE RIGHT: “What’s she doing now??!! All this beautiful scenery and she’s off photographing a barbed wire fence!”

So this photo is to prove a point … of sorts!!

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!

I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.

This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!

Great job Rosalie, again seeing the things that most people don’t notice.

  • Thanks again Marvin – the ‘landscape specialist’ wasn’t sure what I was doing ignoring the bigger scenes for a few moments!

I think barbed wire has such a beauty art form and you have captured that beauty!!

  • Hey Tim – it is usually rusty barbed wire that gets my attention – but I couldn’t resist the droplets here! Thanks amigo.

You continue to inspire me with your wonderful images!
I laughed when I read your comments as I, too, hear ‘voices’ asking ’what’s she doing now? Taking another photo??’ …..
Maybe we need some ‘medication’ for the voices in our head?!

  • This voice Lenita was a real one – I was out with 2 fellow photographers who shall remain nameless, in case I get myself into trouble here!! There are other times though when medication would be indicated – esp when I climb fences and lurk in places where perhaps I shouldn’t!!
