A vintage version of the most unusual building I have ever seen on a country property! Iandra Castle, or Mt Oriel Homestead, is situated near the village of Greenthorpe, not far from Young NSW. The homestead is a unique part of Australia’s heritage. This was the home of George Henry Greene, local landowner, grazier, and politician, after whom nearby Greenethorpe is named. Construction was made using concrete, and was finished in 1911. This was taken on an outing with the FCC Western Districts members recently.
We had the distinct privilege also of having around a dozen models who were incredibly obliging … a wonderfully surreal, Jane Austinesque day !!
IMHO looks better large!
