Getting spoiled out bush with these mists! I don’t even know which road this was taken on … just a quick dash out into the morning fog (between Stockinbingal and Cootamundra) to find whatever I could. Every tree, every gate, every cow, sheep or creek was a potential subject … I did eventually find my way home although I could have continued for another hour or so. The mist kept moving so the intensity varied and created wonderful effects.

I will endeavouring to keep my blog updated as I now head out to the next phase of my journey"

mist, fog, early morning, sunrise, cootamundra, gate, rural, farm, tree, trees, fence

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!

I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.

This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!

I do like the colours in this shot with the mist in the background and you framed just right with the tree and overhanging branch, brings back memories when I was a young lad growing up on a large property near Willow Tree.

  • Glad it brought back good memories Rod … thanks mate.

Take me mist chasing sometime. Nice shot Rosalie.

  • It indeed is a matter of chasing, Michael … mists are fickle and unpredictable. Maybe that’s why we love them so much!! Thanks mate
