A scene from the large parlour / dining room of Tanilba House, Tanilba Bay NSW. This historic home was built by Lieutenant William Caswell …utilising convict labour he started with a slab hut in 1829, expanding to a cottage in 1831, and laid the foundations of Tanilba House in 1837, built of quartz porphyry stone which was quarried nearby. The mortar came from lime produced by burning oysters. It still even has its own small gaol cell out the back where convicts were held when they misbehaved.
There is talk of the Governess still haunting the homestead … ?!

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!

I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.

This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!
