My take on the wonderful wash room at the historic (haunted) Monte Cristo, taken on our recent RB Rumble at Junee.
Di English also uploaded a great sepia version of this room

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!
I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.
This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!

Wonderful capture Rosalie.I’m sure glad we don’t have to wash our clothes like this any more. I love how you have hung the underwear up for every one to view.
Thank you for the great encouragement and the favouriting. I vaguely remember mum using the copper and boiling water on wash days … hard work!! (Are you entering Bathurst Show?!)

Great shot!
Another great photograph with the Rosalie touch making it magical. Do you have enough pics from this incredible place for a calander? Wouls make a good one. Oh – got a load of wash I’m sending you… easy on the starch ok :))))

And I expect you would like the lot dampened and flat-ironed as well?!!! :+) Gosh what a full day of work it used to be doing the family wash (and a second day to do the ironing!) back then. Now a load gets put on to run its course while we go about other things! I certainly have enough images for a calendar – but people may end up over it all by the time I get to twelve! Thanks again my friend for your enthusiastic commentl.
