Some of the culprits ... RedBubble Rumble Hill End Easter 2011 by

Hill End, NSW Australia. Mostly a point of reference shot – trying to fit in as many of the Saturday morning sunrise shooters as I could! They came with Nikons (and an odd Canon or two), tripods, beanies and gloves. With filters and gumboots, and, most of all, a great sense of humour and oodles of mutual encouragement. The high point of this particular shoot? Di warming up her frozen extremities by jogging up the hill and back in her sexy gumboots, breathing puffs of fog of her own! (We won’t mention the camera incident …)

Left to right … Di English, Ian English, David Mapletoft, Gail Douglas, EveW, Bev Woodman, Philip Johnson … and Peter Martin was present, but out of frame to the left (not off the cliff, fortunately).

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!

I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.

This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!

I have never seen so many surveyors in one place at the same time Rosalie! Look at all them tripods! 8-)

You shot this gang in glorious light and the panoramic treatment give the image a real sense of “being there”.

  • How good would it have been to have transported you there also Dennis! You would have thought you’d died and gone to heaven. Thank you for the great encouragement.
