One of our beautiful gum trees standing watch in the Kalkari Discovery Centre on a headland overlooking picturesque Bobbin Head (Sydney, Australia). Not many people are aware that the Discovery Centre, en route to Bobbin Head, not only provides audio visual shows relating to our flora and fauna, exhibits of various species of eagles, reptiles, mammals etc (and extremely keen rangers who will point out items of interest in the park) but also free roaming kangaroos, wallabies, waterfowl, brush turkeys (en masse at the moment as Spring is in the air!), goannas … and no doubt snakes!! It is the starting point for some great bushwalks. An ideal weekend outing for the entire family.
This area forms part of the Ku-ringai National Park.
